Ditto. ok w/ Firefox. I have IE, too, but didn’t want to chance it. So instead I went through days of EconomistMom withdrawal symptoms, all jittery-like. Glad I’m back to getting my daily fix.
If you had your IE security settings too low the site could force a file download. Higher settings would block it and ask you to confirm (since such actions are considered attacks by most sites). The file was for a fake virus scan which reports nonexistant errors and offers to sell a program to remove them. Actually easy to remove if you don’t get fooled.
